House hutting can be fun, but once you finally found your dream home the real work begins. All of a sudden you will be in a whirlwind of paperwork and people. To help you stay organize make a folder to organize all documents and to keep a log of conversations and events. Here is a list of everything to expect in during the loan process:

• Have your pre-qualification letter ready when shopping for a home.
• Have a lawyer, engineer and insurance agent arranged ahead of time to work with you.
• Have all your paperwork organized and ready to go for the loan application.
• Respond and open all correspondence from your lender promptly to speed up the loan process.
• Make sure your commitment letter is within the time of the required contracts. If you see a delay, advise your attorney to tell the seller and to ask for an extension or updated commitment letter.
• CLOSE the deal!
